Melissa Martyn specialises in working with dogs showing aggression or difficult behaviour, often as a result of previous physical or psychological experiences.

Who am I?
Melissa Martyn RN:
Diploma in Pet Psychology, SAC (Asset) Diploma, Level 3 Energy Healing for Animals.
I worked for 20 years in mental health in the UK. During this period I operated a 'Pets as Therapy' scheme which taught me a great deal about animal behavour particularly towards human interaction.
Having relocated to France I have used this knowledge to diversify into Pet Psychology. My mental health experience, along with energy therapy skills, have enabled me to develop an individual holistic programme which can be used to help cure your pet's unwanted behavioral problems.
"Scramble was found in the street shuffling along on his stomach, incapable of standing and barely able to walk. When Melissa first saw him she identified 'heat' in his joints and arranged for an X-ray. This showed him to have numerous gunshot pellets in his body, legs and hip joints. After Melissa had three therapy sessions with Scramble he can now run around and play with the rest of our dogs."
How does it work?
Initially, an assessment is undertaken and a written action plan established. An integral part of the session is a therapy process that Melissa undertakes independently, which helps to reduce the dog’s anxiety levels thereby enabling the success of the programme.
"Baxter is now a new dog and I have my life back.
This is a dog I had seriously considered having to have put down, but there were options and I am glad now to see Baxter as part of my family.
A normal balanced dog!"
Where is this undertaken?
The visit takes place in your home at your convenience.
How much does it cost?
An initial consultation by phone is free of charge. Once an action plan is agreed a price will be quoted which will be based on your dog's needs plus an element for travel. You will be under no obligation.
"Katie was very nervous of people and other dogs when we adopted her, she was aggressive and barked non stop. Five months on Katie is now quite happy to meet new people and once introduced is fine. She is turning into a beautiful dog who is a real pleasure to be with and gives us hours of fun and amusement. Thank you Melissa."
